Instructions for Use: 2nd Chance Crossbow Cocking Device

Please read and follow these instructions carefully to ensure proper use and safety.

1. Pre-Installation Inspection
Install the 2nd Chance device before heading out to hunt to allow for thorough inspection. Before each use, carefully inspect all components—including the cam buckle, strap, and racks—for signs of wear, damage, or degradation. Do not use the device if any issues are detected.

2. Secure the Device to the Tree
Position the 2nd Chance device above head height on a secure, stable section of the tree. Wrap the strap around the tree and tighten the cam buckle firmly.
Pull downward on the device to ensure it is fully locked in place and does not slide or shift.

3. Position the Crossbow on the Lower Rack
Place the stirrup of your crossbow onto the lower loading rack.
Attach your cocking rope to the crossbow as you normally would.

4. Cock the Crossbow Using the Upper Rack
Lift the crossbow and rest it on the upper cocking rack. This upper rack is designed to replicate the function of your foot during standard cocking.
Pull straight down on the cocking rope until the bow is fully cocked.
Once cocked, remove the rope as usual.

5. Load and Prepare for Your Shot
Your crossbow is now cocked and ready. Load your next arrow as normal—giving you a “Second Chance” at your target.

Final Reminder:
Always follow local hunting laws and regulations, and prioritize safety at all times when using hunting equipment.
